About This Role:

Best Practice Associates, LLC dba of Tria Federal (Tria) is seeking a talented Senior Capture Manager. This individual must possess a proven track record of successfully securing contracts exceeding $100M. As a key member of our corporate team, the selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive capture strategy for Tria's top opportunities. This will involve engaging with customers, shaping strategies, developing solutions, forming partnerships, devising pricing strategies, and identifying key personnel. Effective communication skills are essential for this role, as the Capture Manager will be required to brief both internal and external executives.

This position is a hybrid role and will be based in Tysons Corner, VA. However, during a capture cycle, the individual may also operate out of Clarendon, VA. The primary focus of this position is to qualify and secure identified opportunities, thereby enhancing Tria's success in winning new business and expanding our customer base.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a distinguished background that showcases their ability to successfully capture high-value and strategic opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

  •  
  • Lead the capture process by establishing strong customer relationships, industry partnerships, and technical/price solutions aimed at increasing the Probability of Win
  • Conduct thorough market research to analyze customer budget, buying patterns, needs, preferences, competitive landscape, and strengths/weaknesses of competitors
  • Organize meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and team members to gain insights on requirements, acquisition strategy, timing, and contract options
  • Develop and implement a customer call plan, providing detailed reports for effective execution
  • Drive capture activities such as strategy workshops, opportunity reviews, collaboration sessions, and proposal evaluations to enhance win probability
  • Engage with Tria leadership, technical, and program staff regularly as needed
  • Update senior management on capture status at key milestones and when significant changes occur
  • Conduct after-action reviews to document lessons learned and make necessary adjustments to capture techniques, strategies, and actions

  • The candidate should have a proven track record in successfully managing captures of various sizes
  • It is important for the candidate to have strong connections with key government customers and industry partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must for this role
  • The candidate should possess a deep understanding of pricing and competitive strategies
  • The ability to lead and organize capture activities, build industry teams, assess win probability, and effectively manage diverse teams is essential
  • Previous experience in supporting business development and capture efforts for federal agencies is highly desirable
  • Self-motivation and strong time management skills are necessary for this position
